Choosing A Bus For Your Church

By: Phoenix Delray

Check the service record of the bus, and if the seller cannot provide one, that should be your first red flag, since this record contains important information including the repair and service history, the age of the engine, the mileage of the vehicle, and other details.

You should inspect the bus carefully for any leaks, especially transmission leaks, since transmissions and hydraulic break systems for commercial buses can be extremely costly to repair.

The size of the engine is another important consideration, whether you are purchasing a new vehicle, or a certified pre-owned one. The general rule of thumb is to purchase the largest engine within your budget, and consider the body style of the bus that you are considering, since certain styles make the engine more accessible and therefore easier to repair.

Choosing the right church bus is an important decision, which is why you should research all of your options thoroughly.
