How Can You Maintain Your List Of Subscribers

By: Joe Mateno

Creating a subscribers list is probably the wisest thing you could do to create an online income. And that's the honest truth. It gives you more freedom: one blast to your list and you'll make money.

Let's rephrase it a bit: Your subscribers list will help you promote anything and make you money. But make sure you don't promote crap. Build trust.

About the content

Lets be clear on something: You want them to be customers. And you want a lot of them. This is simple but that's exactly the way it is.

You shouldn't write boring stuff. You should write entertaining but informative. And no informative does not mean boring at all. And it doesn't mean you should use hype, either. Just add a sprinkle of your own personality to it.

If you have a bunch of stuff to sell, tell them about that new product, or discount on old ones or simply send them some solid information to keep them interested.

But my ezine, newsletter or whatever I want to put out what about it?

You have to avoid making people think you are spamming the living daylight out of them.

You'll also want to avoid html. People do not like it and it will cause a lot of aggravation.

Keep sending your newsletter at a fixed time. Don't mail 6 days in a row, and then forget to mail for 2 weeks. People will not like it and it boosts your unsubscribe rate. And you want to boost your read rate and subscribe rate instead agreed?

What's more, it's really important you give your readers a way to get out of your mailinglist if they do not like the content.

It will really spare you a lot of headache on the tons of spam complaints. Not to mention the amount of mails that end up in the spam folder if you get too many (and the hassle of getting off that black list again).

How can I attract readers?

You definitely want people to read your messages right? But what is the correct way to go at it? After all, there are a million and one ways to do it.

The easiest way, by far, is probably ezine advertising. It works like this:

You look for a list owner who sells places in his list. Then you send them money for the type of advertising you want, and you get your ad. Simple but it works like that.

Do contact the owner of that list and ask them questions. Make sure you get a response so you don't waste money.

This male or female spent a lot of time building that readership. And making them responsive (your hope). And they'll simply give you an opportunity to tap into that list. Really I wouldn't even think twice about an opportunity like that.

I would advise, however, to be independent and send them to your own list. This will make you the most money in the longer run and there are enough solid solutions out there to make it happen.

When it's sent, make sure you keep on checking your statistics. After all, you want to know which ezine is the winner and which not right? Then you know exactly which ezines to focus on in the end.
