How to generate more revenue with your PowerPoint presentation online

By: Sam Miller

Representing your product online is as critical as sales process itself. What do you do in real-life if you want to sale something to some company? Yes, you call them, assign an appointment and then show them your presentation designed in PowerPoint or some other tool.

What changed today? All changes are about time, if you will sell fast, then you will be able to get more profits. We are making our presentations more vivid, we are trying to add more graphics and audio to make it looks really great.

You have a notebook computer - it's mobility. You can take anywhere, to the train or to the business meeting. Everywhere you have an access to your business data with high-speed internet connection. It's a good idea to have an access to your sales machine too. Yes, presentation is you sales machine and it must be accessible from any where in the world.

It sounds easy "put it into the Web", but actually, there must some facts you should consider carefully. First, PowerPoint has a built-in function that can convert your presentation to a web-friendly format, but it involves some really critical technical problems. It's not hard to bring text online, but what about audio, high quality graphics and navigation within your presentation?

It sounds obvious, but you should consider using web-friendly format online. OK, let's think about web-friendly formats. HTML? Sure! But it's a text-oriented format, and you need to put your presentation on-line and make it live. The only option that sounds like standard is flash swf file.

Most computers today have flash player installed, it's easy to play flash at any computer and internet browser. More over, if user doesn't have the flash player installed, and then web-browser will suggest downloading and installing it automatically.

Have you ever used flash? I'm sure yes, because web-masters like flash format for it's simplicity. Most interactive web-sites are designed in flash, these nice looking webs are generating more sales, just because they are easy to navigate and use (and sure, looks prettier).

The same idea is about presentation online. It must be in a web- and user-friendly format, otherwise it will not work. You will not be able to convince your partner with poor working htm presentation; in some cases you will even not be able to open it correctly in web-browser of your client. What works perfect? The answer is "presentation compiled into flash file".
