Marketing Without the Money

It almost seems like an oxymoron to say cheap marketing. What marketing is truly cheap? What might seem cheap at first has a way of skyrocketing when you weren’t looking and leaving you with more debt than you were prepared for.

The real issue that develops for the new business owner is that they don’t know exactly what all marketing they can do, and so they stop to look at what everyone else is doing in order to learn. This may seem like a good idea, but if you truly don’t know marketing, it can be more harmful than anything else.

Why is that? Because the most noticeable marketing is that done by the large corporations with massive budgets they can funnel cash into each year for their marketing. They have the resources for things that the small business owner can’t afford.

All of those new business owners then attempt to use similar tactics, only to pour more money than they can afford into their marketing, which hurts them in the long run more than anything else.

But cheap marketing can be done; you just have to know what you’re doing. The best tactic to start with is flyer printing.

All of us have seen plenty of flyers before. People hand them out on the streets all the time, and they’ve been in the world of marketing for so long how can you help but know what they are?

But do you know all of their uses, and no, handing them out on the street is not all I’m talking about.

Flyer printing is a very cheap and very versatile form of marketing. The first method for using it has already been said, but let’s go into others.

If you know of any bulletin boards you need to make sure to get your flyers up onto all of them that you can. Flyers are easily able to fit in a person’s mailbox, allowing you to go door to door just like the mailman and get your flyers out to everyone that you can.

You can also ask to put stacks of them at various different stores if they don’t have bulletin boards. Now people can actually take your flyers with them rather than just looking at them on the board.

Coupons and other savings can be printed on your flyers, allowing you to encourage people to keep your flyers with them, which keeps your company name close to them as well.

And these are not the only uses for flyer printing, merely the more prominent ones that I can think of off the top of my head. My hope is that this will get the gears turning in your head to think of more stuff to consider doing with your flyers.

Yes, you can have marketing for hardly any money; you just have to be creative about how you handle it.
