The Desire To Stay In A Bed & Breakfast Instead Of A Hotel

By: Patti Rob

Would you rather stay at a bed & breakfast or a hotel while you are on vacation or traveling for business? More people are answering that question by stating they would much rather stay at a bed & breakfast. They want to have a very comfortable environment to stay in and they want to be able to save money at the same time. Most bed & breakfasts are very small and intimate while hotels seem to be very large and impersonal.

Hotels are often crowded in the lobby and you don't get personal attention. You basically check into your room and you are left to fend for yourself. A bed & breakfast can offer you a great view as well as the chance for a couple to have a romantic getaway. Most bed & breakfast locations are less expensive than staying at a hotel too.

The food that you will be served at a bed & breakfast is usually worth the stay all by itself. Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee brewing or other familiar smells may remind you of home. However, you can simply come to the table and enjoy the meal. You won't have to make it or clean up afterwards.

Traveling can really make a person long for the simple pleasures of home. With a bed & breakfast, you can readily access some of those things you have often taken for granted while you are home. You should be able to relax and feel very comfortable at a bed & breakfast location just like you would at home.

Sometimes a person books a couple of days at a bed & breakfast just because they have heard a great deal about them. It may be a particular bed & breakfast that they are interested in or just the whole concept. With the access to the internet that people have, you can easily find bed & breakfast locations just as easily as you can find a hotel room.

For your guests, you may not have the room in your home to accommodate them. It can feel very impersonal to put them up at a hotel. You may feel more comfortable knowing they are at a lovely bed & breakfast not too far from you. This is a great way to treat them to something special while they in town to spend some time with you.

The little things are what really make the difference with the top rated bed & breakfast locations. Hotels often miss these details and as a result guests don't feel valued while they are staying there. Almost everyone that has the option to stay at a bed & breakfast over a hotel will do so as long as they have had good experiences with this type of establishment in the past.

It is your job as a business owner to make sure your bed & breakfast offers an amazing experience for each and every guest that comes in. You want them to remember it as a special time and definitely want them to come back. You can be sure if they had a better time in your bed & breakfast than in a hotel, they will let other people know about it as well.
