The Facts About Vending Machine Misers

By: Robert Farnham

You may be wondering if a vending machine miser is a good investment or not. The answer to that question seems to depend on who you talk to. The fact of the matter though is that a vending machine miser can be a good investment if you have the right type of set up in place. For other people though it isn't going to do them very much good.

The miser operates with the help of a motion sensor. If there is not activity in the vicinity of the vending machine, it will shut off the lights. As soon as motion is detected it will immediately turn them back on. Since many vending machines don't get too much business late at night this can be very helpful.

It really depends on the location of where your vending machine is though. For example if it is close to a bus stop where people continually walk by at all hours, a miser isn't going to save you very much electricity. This is because it is going to remain active most of the time.

There is also a very advanced sensor in the miser that allows you to save electricity based on the temperature. It will turn off the compressor when the temperature where the vending machine is located is cool enough on its own. If you have an outside vending machine then this can really cut back on the amount of electric that is used.

The biggest area of savings with a vending machine miser is the amount of electricity that it consumes. Depending on hour many hours a day that your vending machine is inactive, the costs for electricity can be cut in half. This is very good information to arm yourself with when you approach a new vending location owner.

You can also take this information to the owner of the current vending machine location that you have. Ask them if they would consider lowering the amount of money you pay to have the location if you install the vending machine miser. For the low cost of $165 you will find this investment quickly pays for itself if they agree to it.

Even though you can get one for less than $200, why do it if there is no financial benefit to you? Well, you may find your vending machine doesn't need repairs as often with one in place. Your compressor will work less so it should last longer. The light bulbs will also last longer so you will save money on them. There are many such advantages to purchasing a vending machine miser that you can take advantage of.

While a vending machine miser can be very useful for your business, it depends on what your needs are. It is a very inexpensive way to cut down electricity costs and to reduce the wear and tear on various mechanisms inside of the vending machines. You can tell if it is working if one green light is displayed. If you see three green lights then you need to look everything over as this is a sign of a malfunction.
