Publishing a newspaper but need information regarding syndication or ways of getting news sources for free?

I am planning on publishing a local community newspaper and have advertisers lined-up but I need help with getting some of my news source. Are there free sites for news that I can re-publish? what about syndication or partnering with other news sources should I look out for? any ideas would be appreciated.

I don’t know if you’ll find anyone willing to write evergreens and distribute them to anyone/everyone for free.

You might be better served if you try to come up with low-cost local stuff… nothing beats readers interaction. Readers love to read about themselves and see photos of themselves. Get a regular photo section started with your readers sending in material (vacation photos, pet photos, cute kid photos, etc.). Gather public info… police blotter, fire call log, marriage/divorce notices, obituaries, etc. It’s not really journalism, IMO, but you might get free contributions from business people (realtors, interior decorators, doctors, etc.) writing about their local market or trends. Contact a local journalism teacher and offer a non-paying internship to a student willing to write movie reviews.

Good luck!
